A Message from Truth FM General Manager, Bob Schueler:
Hi everyone! Thank you for being a Truthseeker and being part of Truth FM. Truth FM is committed to presenting the Good News of Jesus Christ to the Lafayette community. I’m truly blessed when someone tells me they listen to Truth FM and through our bible-based programs, have become a Truthseeker! WOW! What a privilege! But here’s the low-down: As we are an FCC-designated LPFM (Low-power FM) station, we fall under specific regulations which makes soliciting financial support more regulated and challenging than a full-power station, such as KLOVE, WASK or AFR.
As it’s expensive to produce and market a radio program, virtually all those who produce a radio program will decline spending their money on airing programming on LPFMs in lieu of larger, full-power FMs. Simply put, it’s a business decision where they need maximum listeners. Unfortunately, our LPFM status and FCC-allocated transmission power output simply aren’t commercial in that sense. As such, the programs you hear on Truth FM are aired free of charge to the producers. The “profit” we seek is heavenly and as such, Truth FM has never “made a profit” financially, but we’d like to at least pay our bills. If you can help us, great! All donations are used at 100% to defray operating expenses.
